Are you looking for a volunteer opportunity in your community, or if you ae part of the Friends of Foundation group, we’d love to hear from you
We’re currently recruiting Route Marshals for the 2026 GEAR Run.
📆 Sunday 3rd May
⏰ 07:30 – 11:30
📍 King’s Lynn town centre
As a volunteer marshal, you’ll play a vital role in supporting runners throughout the course – cheering them on, helping to keep the route safe, and being a friendly face along the way. This is a brilliant opportunity to get involved in the community, gain experience, meet new people, and boost your own wellbeing.
If you’d like to volunteer on behalf of 8:56 for GEAR 2026, please email us via events@856.org.uk
Please note: due to the nature of the role, Route Marshals must be 18 or over.

If you want, I can also create a shorter social‑media version, a poster‑style version, or a more formal charity‑tone version.
